WHO, WHAT, WHERE, HOW…?
Pistachio Gelati was founded in Adelaide, South Australia by creative visionaries Pistachio & Sam Gelati Their respective years of experience in painting, sculpture, graphic design & photography have lead them to create a new artistic, and sometimes provocative, fashion label Pistachio Gelati .
The Gelati family moved to Australia in 1954 settling down in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. The name Pistachio Gelati originated as Sean's artist name in 1996. The (sometimes infamous) Pistachio Gelati has produced much well recognised art, such as paintings, sculptures and abstract pieces that has inspired, and challenged many Australian art lovers.
Sam started his career in photography and interactive multimedia. Later, he concentrated his time in mastering other aspects of multimedia working in graphic design, film and television. Sam works along with Pistachio in the creation of the “Pistachio Gelati ArtWear” collection.
In 2006, Sam & Pistachio founded Pistachio Gelati , Art accessible to everyone! The Pistachio Gelati concept is to combine Art and Fashion in order to maximize the artistic exposure to the general public, while offering a price of acquisition much more affordable than the one original piece of Art! Pistachio produces only 1000 originals of each “artwork” which gives to everyone the opportunity to build their personal collection, each Pistachio artwork being individually numbered.
Following positive results in terms of sales, public reactions & feedbacks to the new label on the local Adelaide market, Sam & Sean accepted William to join the team in order to bring his skills in marketing, and take in charge the commercialization of Pistachio Gelati through the management and development of the Global Sales & Marketing strategy.
Sam, Sean & Will are the winning team, with skills to complement each other and all entirely addicted to Pistachio Gelati!
